About

Susan Lindemann is a cellist and bagpiper based in Tampa, Florida. She began her musical studies at the age of eight and was actively performing on the cello, piano, and bagpipes by the age of twelve. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Cello Performance from the University of South Florida, where her passion for music expanded into a multi-faceted career as an orchestral musician, ensemble director, and arranger.

Known for her innovative projects, Susan founded and directed the USF Video Game Music Ensemble from 2022-2024, a group that broke new ground by combining interactive audience gameplay with live performance. This drive to make music accessible also fuels her work with the Collective Chamber Orchestra (CCO), an international collective dedicated to bringing music throughout Central America. She made her international debut as a soloist and ensemble member on the CCO’s 2024 tour in Honduras and was recruited as principal cellist and faculty member for Festival Internacional La Centro 2025 in Guatemala City.

At the heart of her work is a commitment to sharing music directly with others. Susan maintains a private studio where she mentors cellists of all levels, and her flexible approach allows her to connect with students both locally in the Tampa Bay area and internationally online. She continues to perform regularly at local events as a cellist and bagpiper.
